Ubuntu Mastermind is a supportive community of education change-makers that understand that personal transformation is the basis to transform education. And that no one can do it alone.
It embraces the interconnectedness of the Ubuntu philosophy (“I am because we are“) and the mastery-focus of mastermind groups (“The meeting of the minds” – and hearts!).
Strengthen accountability towards your goals
Conquer limiting beliefs and face your challenges
Test your ideas, gain new perspectives
Lend your strengths and borrow from peers
Be energized and collaborate with values-driven people

If you are creating or growing a learning community, school or education project, the Learning Community Canvas helps you clarify the key pieces of your model: purpose, learners, community, methodology, governance, sustainability and next steps.
What’s a mastermind group?
Ubuntu Mastermind is a small peer group where education changemakers support, encourage and learn from one another as they move toward their goals. Each member contributes their perspective and participates with honesty, respect and compassion.
When you apply, we’ll review your form and contact you with the next steps. Ubuntu is a small peer community, so we want to make sure the group is a good fit for your current journey.
Luz Olid and David Caballero coordinate and facilitate Ubuntu Mastermind. We are the founders of Evolving Education, directors of the films “Killing Curiosity” and “Human Learning”; and the training programs “The Art of Facilitating Growth”.
We believe in the power of learning communities to experiment and design new paths for living more sustainably and equitably. We are passionate about the transformation of education through intentional communities for inspiration, experimentation and personal growth.

Our rhythms evolve constantly to meet the needs of the group. We currently meet twice a month: 2-hour collective intelligence call the 1st Friday of the month, and 1-hour café call the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Both at 15::00 GMT.
The membership contribution is $65/month or $323 for 6 months (one month for free).
Applications open until 30-Sep-2026.
