The Learning Expedition is a 3-month online experiential training and community where you can learn the practices of the most transformative learning centers on the planet and lead projects that positively impact your community. More than 150 education pioneers from 17 countries have contributed to the research that backs-up the program.
Access our high-quality resources in our e-learning platform (videos, readings, activities, downloadable kits…) at your own pace.
You will be able to adapt the training to your needs using the Design Thinking framework, and go beyond the limits of the program in the space of Petitions and Offerings.
You will experience these tools first-hand in our 2-hour community video calls every two weeks. You will feel how different it is to be part of a horizontally coordinated learning community.
And the community will always be there for you in our private Telegram group where everyone can share challenges and resources.

Program Creators & Facilitators
David Caballero is a social entrepreneur who belives that education is the key to change the world. He has got experience in leadership, personal development, project management and social innovation. David was shocked to discover the huge difference between children who develop in environments that empower them and in conventional schooling. Aware that these opportunities were available to a few, he set on this journey to democratize learner-centered education.
Luz Olid is the project’s visionary and values-driver. She brings experiences in research, filmmaking, public school teaching, pastoral support in vulnerable communities and facilitation in agile learning centers. Luz left a successful career in scientific research to pursue her passion in education. But she found an outdated educational paradigm that does not prepare children to live a fulfilling life and face the world’s challenges. So she decided to apply her research skills into education, studying the world’s most innovative schools.

For almost 20 years we worked hard to achieve what was supposed to be “success”. But reaching the top didn’t mean happiness.
We realized that being “good students” and “climbing the career ladder” lead us to become proficient at seeking external validation, not listening to our own needs, and pursuing a definition of success that we didn’t question.
We were drifting away from who we were. But life can change quickly and losing a family member woke us up.
We started questioning everything, the way we live, how we relate with others, our purpose… and everything took us to the same place: education can change the world.
We trained as teachers, but found an outdated paradigm that limits children’s development and shapes them to keep replicating the same structures.
There had to be another way.
We started an adventure around the world to unlearn what we thought we knew about education and re-learn how learning and development could be. We studied and lived in the most progressive learning centers and communities on the planet, learning from +150 pioneers in education.
We were shocked to discover the huge difference between kids who develop in environments that empower them and in conventional schooling. It is heart-brokening that most of us are not even aware of the possibilities.
We further trained and researched on key topics to support children to become independent, life-long learners with values, like: non-violent communication and the neuroscience of motivation and learning.
Our mission now is to democratize all this wisdom through learning experiences that help you better support the development of children.
